Yeng Constantino says she wants to venture into acting in the future

In spite having her hands full preparing for her next album and her regular hosting duties on Music Uplate Live, Yeng Constantino admits that she also wants to get into acting as well. “Open ako to it. Don’t get me wrong, mahal ko yung ginagawa ko ngayon.
The 22-year-old Pinoy Dream Academy winner says that she was reluctant to venture into acting before because she was also cautioned by her father about it. (laughs). So ayun,” she admits.
After watching other singers do dramatic roles, Yeng says she wants to be able to portray a challenging role as well. “Ang pangarap ko gawin na role is kunyari parang yung babae na binubuhay niya yung pamilya niya tapos kailangan niya magtrabaho ng mga trabahong panlalake, kunyari barker ng jeep or parang karagador sa palengke, mga ganung role ang gusto ko magawa,” she explains.
Yeng says that because of her image as a ‘Rockoustic Princess,’ it will suit her better to play roles that are not too soft. “First of all, hindi kasi ako pa-girl, hindi ako yung parang soft.
Yeng says she would love to be able to get into acting by doing independent films first. Kasi iba talaga experience pag from indie film, iba yung disiplina. Parang kumbaga sa singing yung teatro.”

Yeng Constantino is proud to be chosen to sing Star Magic’s anniversary song

This year, ABS-CBN’s Star Magic celebrates its anniversary with a grand music video that features Kapamilya talents in the song “Ikaw Ang Magic ng Buhay Ko,” which was sung and composed by Yeng Constantino. The talented singer, who won Pinoy Dream Academy in 2006, was personally asked by Star Magic head Johnny Manahan (who is also fondly referred to as Mr. M), to compose the jingle for Star Magic.
The 22-year-old singer admitted she immediately went to work on the song which she found as a challenge even before she was asked to revise her first proposed arrangement. “This is my first time to compose for a station ID.
Yeng also explained how she wrote the song which is a kind of thanksgiving to all the fans of Star Magic through the years.
Yeng admitted that even though she has been in showbiz for over five years now since becoming the first Pinoy Grand Dreamer in PDA, it doesn’t mean songwriting and performing has become an easier process for her. Astig!” she admitted.
As the Star Magic anniversary music video “Ikaw Nag Star ng Buhay Ko” is set to be launched on June 26 on ASAP, Yeng admitted she feels very proud of her latest song and of being part of the Star Magic family ever since she started in the industry. “I feel honored.
